Welcome to Footprint Photography! Carbon neutral photography with a commitment to helping the third world

Hi There!
Welcome to Footprint Photography!
Carbon neutral photography with a commitment to helping the third world.... that's right we are a bunch of tree hugging, poverty fighting hippies!

Ok, so that's not 100% correct. We don't usually hug trees (unless they hug us first) but we do want to plant a whole bunch! With the help of an organisation called Carbon Neutral we plan to reduce and offset our CO2 emissions and become... (you guessed it) 100% carbon neutral.

We are a passionate bunch. So passionate in fact that we have decided to run our whole business around saving the world! (well we are going to try our best anyway!) We believe that there are people in the world who really do need a helping hand right now. Because of this we have committed to helping out whenever we can.

At the moment we are affiliated with a charitable NGO called Carpets for Communities. Carpets for Communities mission statement is to "give at risk children an education by empowering their mothers to produce eco-fair trade products which sell globally".

We're based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and also do a lot of work in the Eastern Suburbs but we are happy to go almost anywhere!

All of our photographers are members or emerging members of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP) and have a real passion for photography.

...

Here at Footprint Photography we are trying our best to save the world. Apart from striving to become 100% carbon neutral we are also passionate about supporting charitable organisations. For the last year we have been supporting one such organisation - Carpets for Communities.

Carpets for Communities mission statement is; "to give at risk children an education by empowering their mothers to produce eco-fair trade products which sell globally"

We strongly believe in the power of education. By empowering families to educate themselves you can change their lives and the lives of their children forever. Carpets for Communities achieves this by teaching some of the poorest families in Cambodia how to make rugs out of cotton T-shirt off cuts and potato sacks. Then then ships these rugs to Australia and sell them at local markets and some enlightened retail outlets.

Carpets for Communities is a not-for-profit organisation and so 100% of profit goes back into Cambodia for development and expansion. This amazing grass roots organisation is run almost solely by a tight group of passionate volunteers who are dedicated to a great project which helps people who really are in need.
